"Stop the car, Stop the car!" thats what I said to one of my friends while he was driving. He was texting. We almost Crashed. We almost went off a cliff. We Almost DIED. This was serioous.
The part that is bad for you is texting and driving. it is a horrible idea. people think that they have mastered this strategy. it has taken humans lives. teens should know better, there have been so many car crashes that probably everyone knows a person that was in a texting crash. Family member. Friend. Relative. its scary and we wish this could go away.
texting actually takes away from socializing and talking face to face with the person you are texting. This makes it so you do not need to be their to show how you feel about the subject.
texting is dstracting because you don't know what is going on around you. "You are in your own virtual world." as my dad likes to call it. I admit i do text. but I only do it so i can set up times to hang out with my friends. people actually keep their phones on late at night just so they can answer late night texts when the should be aleep
